Will I be using this on a server, or for business/development purposes? Do I want to have to "fix my distro" or intervene or recompile things every arbitrary update? No. I want my PC to boot fast and to be fast to use, out the box. I don't want to have to patch things or install custom kernels to do it or have tons of requisite packages or have to remember to refresh mirrorlists a bunch of things you need to keep in check etc etc etc.
Narrow out those more extreme advanced distros first: Arch SUSE Solus Void
Narrow out those not curated for desktop use solely: Solus
