Axios the last guy in that thread rec'd smart scan which I would've rec'd in 2017 before I've seen in Doom and Gloom every disk I ever tested even the new ones. everything always "near death" and "questionable" as I recall. False negatives to me.
following this forum a while I've seen trends as many do, and its my general impression that ssd's die at a much faster rate than the 15-year old platters...general impression anyway. right or wrong. how new was it?
edit: also the op in that thread ran WIN also on that SSD and said it the I/O stuff didn't happen on Win but maybe there's other factors. if it is dying it would be OS-agnostic methinks.
