brent Might makes right to a certain point then the radio receivers dont care they have circuits in
them to deal with to much signal kinda double edge sword sometimes.
Trouble with digital signals they just stop working when something isnt right analog signals (voice)fade out
but digital signals will go farther........ohhhh its complicated sometimes.
Thats why signal levels are important and Signal quality!!
I dont want go into it to deep because its alot of info
Multipath interference to make it short its when in your case maybe signals bouncing off objects or going around objects in the house (yes they can go around)
Maybe (icebox?) end up at the receiver at the same time or delayed times.
Not so much as a signal level issue but a signal quality issue.
Which can cause all kinds of issues by moving it you eliminated the issue or changed things enough it works now.
Long story short you created your own interference.
I dont Know the antenna design in that router or the beam pattern or 1/2 power points.
By moving it you may be in a full power point or 1/2 power point or vice versa who knows.
(Line of sight usually tends to be full power point but can vary)
(I would prob keep the front of router with light pointed towards your computers)
This is just example it will be different with different designs (Its antenna radiation pattern simplified)
(Just more simple tidbits) Should give you enough info to get a better understanding of what goes on.
