NickJ2911 @EbonJaeger It was just a nothing .mp4 file that I think I downloaded from twitter via youtube-dl I believe. It did have a # hashtag in it could that have been the issue?
NickJ2911 @EbonJaeger Is the issue perhaps because I am sending to trash directly from the HOME folder? Seems odd that it would crash the whole system tough.
NickJ2911 @Staudey I think when I did: gsettings reset org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme it reset the caja appearance. Now it is white. Do you or anyone know how to switch it back to a dark theme? i know the gnome-control-center switches Nautilus file manager to a dark theme but caja is still white.
Axios Now if we just get brent on the ball think he been through all this stuff a dozen times already..lol I am not on mate right now dont remb if you can change that in properties on caja
brent Axios master dark settings for budgie in dconf settings. I've been thru all of this no doubt. I do have a tendency to purge these experiences tho
NickJ2911 @EbonJaeger So I was just trying to set up my computer again and I tried to put the trash icon back into the bottom panel via budgie desktop setting and I got the Oh no screen again. Perhaps it has something to do with that? Navigating the trash via the bottom panel?
EbonJaeger NickJ2911 As said above, it's caused by an item in the trash having a '#' in the name. You'll have to either remove that, or not use the trash applet until I figure out why that happens. Now you'll have to reset your panel again.
NickJ2911 I was able to change the caja appearance via widgets and one of the themes I had previously!
brent NickJ2911 dconf dark settings over-rule the budgie and gnome-settings. I've been led to believe it's the top of the settings food chain as it were edit: but I've been wrong plenty of times before
EbonJaeger I have identified the issues and fixed them. The fix is currently in the Unstable repo, coming to you soon on the next sync to Stable.
[deleted] NickJ2911 Direct DL for the package from Unstable: sudo eopkg it https://packages.getsol.us/unstable/b/budgie-trash-applet/budgie-trash-applet-2.1.2-11-1-x86_64.eopkg
EbonJaeger [deleted] That probably wont work because other dependencies and required packages got updated this cycle. Worth a try, tho
brent EbonJaeger so it was all about "#"? When this happened to me I was throwing away anything, don't necessarily remember # unless it was metadata? who knows? look forward to trying this app again, I always liked it.
