To the people of Solus Linux, it would be nice if you would install Firefox version 107.0 for security reasons!
Thanks for your good work.😀👍

[deleted] I have made an update on 19.11.2022 and my Firefox version is still 106.0.4. It was updated some things only the Firefox not.
Since I live in Germany, can it be that the server did not work properly?

GnuLinux Since the commit was done yesterday I think it's going to land in stable in next sync.

It's in unstable. However gnome 43.1 is not. I don't think you should skrive for latest firefox for security reasons. ESR is perfectly fine for all I know. But for performance and new 🔔 and whistles that's another story.

I'm on arch at but I tend to miss solus. Arch is just very easy with zram and aur. I have Solus as my main page though. Looking forward to new current-kernel and possibly new isos given time.

GnuLinux No, it's not that. Firefox 107 is currently in the unstable repo, but not in Shannon. We won't receive Firefox 107 until next sync

Yeah, Firefox unfortunately didn't quite make it in before the sync (in fact it was the first package updated right AFTER the sync).

jcount 'm on arch at but I tend to miss solus. Arch is just very easy with zram and aur.

Just FYI @ReillyBrogan enabled zram in our kernel recently.

Yes, and I'm currently looking into getting it enabled for all users automatically via systemd-zram-generator. I'm hoping to find a way to have it work automatically so that the system will use zswap if there's a swapfile or swap partition and zram otherwise.

imo important security fixes such as firefox 107 should be deployed asap.

Lucien_Lachance I've already sent a message to DataDrake to see if she can cherry-pick it to Stable.

Anyone wanting to manually install it can use this command in the meantime:
        sudo eopkg it https://packages.getsol.us/unstable/f/firefox/firefox-107.0-266-1-x86_64.eopkg
