WetGeek I wonder if there's a similar feature for nfs?
I'm pretty sure that nfs just uses my logon password anyyway. But you got me thinking about permissions for the folders themselves, and when I checked one of the shares, this is what it looked like:
It's no wonder I could access them with smb, but not with nfs. Now it seemsI just need to figure out why they're set that way. Why would an owner have no access by default? And it probably wouldn't hurt to make sure I'm in the lpadmin group, also. It seems like there's some configuration that just installing nfs-utils doesn't take care of.
The permissions and ownership for the same share on my laptop (also KDE Plasma) look like this:
Also, on my laptop, there's a third tab called Share, that's not in the properties on RebornOS, and it contains the message:
But I've never set a smbpasswd for my own account on this laptop, and Dolphin is able to open and access all of my shares using smb. That's true for every DE in Solis, and some other distros as well.
There's a forum for RebornOS. If I can't figure this out soon, I'll register there and see if anyone knows what's happening with this.
