old dats tapes as well. Technically data transfer to a tape substrate qualifies as analog? which is way cool. I think as an archival tool (not used daily) these things still have promise (photo albums, receipts, critical scans) and I would probaby use them myself if I could solve @Axios 's conundrum: how to make solus/linux see the drive, understand the filesystem, then deliver readable/writable i/o.
