Yep. The first thing I did for this project was to add a family email account to the email on my domain, and I monitor it in Thunderbird on my laptop. It works perfectly. As do the mailing lists I've created for Thunderbird and Vivaldi Mail.
But Thunderbird won't create a message filter that will forward a message to a mailing list, and Vivaldi Mail won't create one that forwards a message at all. It just does stuff like marking a message as spam if it arrives from a given email address.
The short-term solution is for me to monitor the family email account, and to forward messages that arrive there, which I can easily and quickly do. In other words, I can become an email filter. That should work well enough for me to find out if anyone's actually going to use this feature, and for me to tweak it as needed.
If it isn't used, I'll eventually just post a message to everyone that it's no longer available, and delete the email account.
