I need urgent help

Zenurik good eye----the python wreck probably means the old tried and true (sudo eopkg check | tee /dev/stderr | grep Broken | awk '{print $4}' | xargs sudo eopkg it --reinstall) is irrelevant in this case. I think Ebon's reinstall is optimal but the history rollback is the best bet (last best chance) at salvaging...I've had mixed results with hs, but in that mixed was success. The 'tried and true' I listed above is generally if a package or two is broke and that hinders boot up...seems much more that than here.

And then the last line says" program terminated"

Should I proceed with the sudo eopkg hs thing? I don't want to f*ck up anymore then I already am.

Okay, I think that means the network connection is not active in your session (I assume the httpd: is just a typo, because I don't think you've changed the repository URL)

The eopkg hs rollback can't do more damage than is already done. The question is just whether the package versions are all still cached, since you don't have internet connection apparently. If it doesn't work, then I would just re-install.

No, hs is just the short form for history. They're functionally exactly the same.

OK so I have entered the sudo eopkg hs thing and it I is showing a list of stuff like in the image you sent. I tried typing in sudo eopkg hs - t [33] but I am not sure if I did it right because it says "usage: history of pisi operations"
"usage history" and "eopkg: error: option - t: invalid integer value '[33]'

Reinstall is really the best bet, also you don't need to install python on your machine since Solus already comes with it by default, you can access the interpreter on cli by typing python3 for > 3.0 version or python for the 2.7 version. If you want to learn python there's a book/pdf called "python for everyone" that is free, i can share with you if you want, it teaches about the language and is provided in several languages (there's a version in portuguese for example). Good luck with your problem

I will reinstall by the end of the day if no one else can help me and if you don't mind can you send me the pdf it would be nice. Btw so I don't cause any more f*ck ups then I already have done I just need to install solus in the same way I originally installed. Will it be the same proccess or will there be something new I have to do?

Marz Never used that command, but i think it will only reinstall that packages. Don't think your situation can get any worse kkkkkk

Because it is possible to do that in the live environment with a external device, i also advice you to make an separate home partition if you want to mess with your system any further 😁, that way you can be happy without losing your data

So right now I did the sudo eopkg hs - t 33 and said yes to the command. It says it failed to make a connection should I use ether net cable to fix this?

Marz Well, it's beyond my knowledge, but you can try, since with the direct connection you don't need to pass a password or anything of that kind. It's also possible that you messed up with some package related to internet connection, but it's just a guess. As i told you, i don't have that much experience either

I do not know 'best practices' after a rollback... anyone?
But I'm guessing in your case you want to make sure nothing is broken: sudo eopkg check.
sudo eopkg rdb for good measure (rebuilds database).
If AND ONLY IF the broken packages were reinstalled ( I posted a script in this thread that finds broken then replaces broken), then I'd do a full update (sudo eopkg up)

My advice is conditional and I hope you get a 2nd opinion. Check broken stuff then update I would say first...

To ensue I don't mess up the proccess should I rebuild the data base or is there some procedure before this I should to fix this issue?
