can't find a shortcut button on right click mouse in file manager for after select a file or folder. Is it normal?

Which file manager? What are you trying to achieve?

Justin using default budgie file manager; after highlight of file, i want to create a shortcut on desktop. No shortcut option in drop-down-list, hope i'm mentioning it right.

@dostana Under Nautilus (GNOME's File Manager), you right click and then "Create Link". Then move that link to your Desktop folder.

this is the file manager in use, i just want to have a shortcut link on my desktop. After highlight the file i click on right button mouse get a the menu list.................here i don't find create link in compare to other distro.

The option to create links/shortcuts is disabled by default. You have to enter Nautilus' settings (click on the little icon in the top left of the window and select "Preferences"), then select the "Behaviour" tab and check the box next to "Show action to create symbolic links"
After that you can right-click a file and select "Create Link"

Yeah, I also never noticed it wasn't enabled by default on Solus, because I hardly ever use this functionality. Setting it to enabled by default would probably be best though.

I had been comparing Solus VS Distros, Some of users like me often use packages that are built in DEB, RPM or binary. Wouldn't it be wise to have a compatibility platform (DNF, PACMAN & Zypper) builtin or a link or alias that a user has the leverage to able to install packages of DEB, RPM. I don't if it is against the Solus policy; some of user are driven out from Solus of this reasons. We are forced to learn new Eopkg way of doing things. And if package not in eopkg or solus repository then it is another nightmare of to built or request process why, how and so......
