Windows disables Solus Network Services. Why?

seems that way but you are right---too early to tell. might go into Win about every other week.
I also think in some weird way that windows shutdown or startup may adversely effect solus. I have so many un-necessary things disabled in W10 that your head would spin and that could interfere somehow.
Why Win10 would target Solus network services-- under any circumstance-- with a butcher's knife is still a mystery to me.

Just keep in mind that creating a Windows VM is a whole lot easier and less complicated that any dual-boot scheme. A Windows VM can't interfere with a linux host, or vice-versa.

And you don't need to boot one or the other ... you can have them both available simultaneously. If you finally decide to take the leap, I'll help you all the way.

You don't even need to change your current system until you're sure that your Windows VM is running well on your Linux host machine.

I had issue with win7 and network causing strange issues
click on your network adapter, go to "power management" and uncheck the box " allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
Since I dont run win10 not sure if it has those issues

ha! me either. I have a to-do list next time i'm in windows. you know, I have clicked on my network adapter and skimmed all the tabs including 'power management' but didn't notice what they all did. thanks for bringing that to my attention.

that's tripping me out! you are running solus plasma. In Solus Plasma you have a virtual shell. Inside this virtual shell (hosted in?) Solus Plasma you are running Windows 10...in other words you are not running windows in a VM....you are running windows in a VM on a Solus host?
I appreciate the fact that a VM is a giant sandbox where windows can longer mug solus, but conceptually I'm not quite there yet.---and that's on me, I haven't done the VM reading.

brent Virtual shell? My understanding is that @WetGeek is running Windows as a Guest OS in Virtual Box on Solus Plasma host. Am I right? As long as Solus is stable, that is a good idea. Potential problems can arise if the Solus host needs to be reinstalled. In that case Windows data should be backed up first.

Axios Can use FreeDOS in vm or qemu! Don't need Windows....
