I hadn't considered that. sudo eopkg up
does use the internet.
Ok.. You can still change kernels though.
uname -r
to see your current kernel. Write down what the number is.
sudo clr-boot-manager set-timeout 5 && sudo clr-boot-manager update
to set the Solus boot manager.
The type reboot
right in the terminal. When you reboot you will see the Solus boot manager.
You will have five seconds to choose a kernel from a list. If you press the arrow key up or down that will stop the timer.
Pick the kernel that is the opposite of whichever you have installed. Solus keeps a backup of the kernels as a fallback in case something borks your computer. Press the Enter
key to select that other kernel.
If your internet works with the other kernel, you have a kernel issue and not a Solus issue. You have to wait for an update to the kernel.
If your internet DOES work while logged in using the other kernel, type sudo clr-boot-manager update
to set the make this your new default kernel.
You can do ALL of this without the internet, I am sure.
