Zenurik I'll actually time it. I'm running off a Lenovo M.2 SDD also. The only difference is Wayland. Even Windows running off a second SATA SSD is faster than that.
So I timed it, here are my results.
Power button to login screen - 13.41 seconds
X11 Password input to desktop - 5.54 seconds
Wayland Password input to desktop - 33.24 seconds
When I say to desktop, I mean shows background, panel, and cursor. Not that all the panel add-ons like weather and such have loaded, and so have any other auto start things that may be going on.
As you can seez my Wayland session is about 6.7x longer than X11! That's crazy! I may be a bit spoiled having gone from nothing to a useable desktop in under 30 seconds, but that kind of performance hit shouldn't be happening.
BTW, it was 27 seconds until the splash screen appeared logging into Wayland.
