Proton VPN does not start in alternate Window Manager JWM

I can start in Budgie with no problem, but in JWM it gives following error
Environment variable DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS is unset. Is something needs to be set in my xinitrc startup file? I use startx to begin each session of JWM.
Any help much appreciated. I am on Solus, of course. 😄

[EDIT] Please consider SOLVED, as I no longer wish to explore ProtonVPN, due to bad ratings.

I don’t have the answer but use ProtonVPN daily. Where are you seeing the bad ratings? Personally, it seems to be getting better with each new iteration. One’s experience is just that, one 😁

I found on the internet to comment on the line unset DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS in /usr/bin/startx. Just don't offend me like others. I just want to help.

pomon To comment out that line? It is the first command in that file. What will happen to other apps and programs if I do that? Isn't it there for a reason? I don't wish to break the system.

I commented on this verse and restarted the system. Solus Budgie works and protonvpn too. I don't have JWM so I have no way to check. But if you are afraid, don't do it.

pomon I know it works on Budgie. It doesn't work on alternate light WM's,
