Interesting! I've used gnome-control-center once or twice, but always assumed that budgie-control-center was just an alias for Budgie desktop settings. That definitely deserves some exploring to see what else I've been missing.
Nobody ever accesses my Budgie VM but me, so it now starts up without requiring me to log on. One thing I didn't expect, though, was that rebooting after the change just got me to a flashing cursor. I needed to shutdown the VM and restart it for the change to actually take effect.
