PSA: Sync has been deferred until tomorrow (2022-05-31)

Since people were starting to wonder: As DataDrake just wrote from the Solus Twitter account, the sync has been deferred until tomorrow, 2022-05-31.

A couple of big updates made it in at the last minute, and she didn't want to rush the sync to give some more time to test, and also iron out some issues (as mentioned in the tweet).

In my case, 198 packages on my desktop, 189 on my laptop, lots of KDE packages. Both computers rebooted successfully.

On my desktop I have an old Nvidia card (GeForce GT 710), and everything is OK, as a matter of fact, I'm using it to write this post. I had switched to the Nvidia 470 drivers a few days ago.

The update does not work for me after booting. I had to rollback to the latest working version... See my report here: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/8415-no-boot-after-updating-the-system-2022-06-01. I hope you find the error... Does anybody have the same problem? (maybe related to the nvidia drivers???)

joluveba I have the same graphic card!!!! I am using the proprietary drivers now (maybe the 470 drivers???)... But I will have a look at it... Thanks!

rjuarezp joluveba Already checked. I am currently using version 470.129.06 of the nvidia drivers... In my case, I didn't change manually to this version. Maybe it happened automatically at some update... I don't really know...

rjuarezp My problem is solved!!!!! I just manually updated the NVIDIA drivers, booted into the new kernel and then made the system upgrade (still get the dracut-initqueue error but it boots into the graphical interface). Thanks very much!!!!!

I'm receiving the same message... but both computers boot. Besides, I stopped getting the Grub menu. On my desktop, I updated the Grub menu using Grub Customizer, and now the it appears again. On my laptop, I haven't been able to solve it. Maybe later on I will open a thread about this.

DataDrake said that she will look into the dracut-initqueue error message later. But as people have said, it's not a fatal error or anything.

Many Budgie, Mate, and GNOME users may be wondering why just a few upgrades made it take so long to release the sync, but there's a good reason for that. I updated four Plasma machines today, and their upgrades ranged from just under 200 on a Plasma VM with a bare minimal installation, to 196 on my wife's Plasma laptop and 204 on mine.

I want to express my sincere thanks to the team for all the work that must have required! Needless to say, the wait was well worth it.

Update looks good. Testing on a 1500X and Vega 64: The Steam overlay issue looks like its fixed now and Monster Hunter launches just fine on the newest Proton GE (It used to crash on startup). I tested Warhammer 2 total war also and that worked no problem.
