brent It's a bit more involved than the screen clip.
If I were to work at native resolution (which I did for a time), finding an adjustment for icon and type size that works well at that resolution is tricky (maybe linux has more options in this regard, but I couldn't get far enough along to check). I was actually using the PC input on the tv which bypasses the overscan but still has that resolution available. The next step down is too large. And then the changing hues depending on the resolution was eyebrow raising.
Especially given that getting a large format monitor is in the "you can't be serious" department price wise, I thought using tvs was more common. Apparently it's not (or maybe AMD has better support there. I don't know.).
AND THEN looking at the file explorer options for linux... two, maybe three variations of viewing options? Really? I was actually expecting more than Windows (it's nice to reorganize files on the fly if you identify them visually). Scrolling down a list of 70,00 files (I might be a data hoarder) is just... no.
One or the other I could have worked with, but not both.
I might be I an unusual case for how PCs are used, but regardless it just seems a poor fit for the moment.
It is still doing smashingly well on the laptop though.
