That's one of my three favorite solitaire games. The other two are Spider Solitaire and Shisen-sho (kshisen). I even install all three of those on every VM I create, right after I create multiple desktops, so each can have its own. I consider it part of evauating the usefulness of a distro.
I use the "Difficult" map on mahjongg, and I pay no attention to the time a game takes -- just whether I can, or can't win it. Often I can't.
You might also enjoy shisen-sho (kshisen in the repo). It's another solitaire game that uses majhongg tiles. Note that the timer in shisen-sho starts running as soon as a new game is started. That's unlike mahjongg, where the timer starts when you make your first move (as you know).
Spider solitaire comes in a package called "Aisleriot" in the repo, which contains a multitude of solitaire games. I haven't tried them all (100+), but of the ones I have tried, I like Spider best.
I thought I'd mention these other two, because they might give you some variety while you wait for Ubuntu.
