DJMoffinz i downloaded the solus budgie installation media from the solus website yesterday, and just used rufus to flash it to a usb. i discovered that it contained corrupt disk image files.
If 4.2 installs correctly it will update to 4.3 so no harm no foul, I guess.
ISO corruption, when it occurs, usually results from a defective download process. The Solus 4.3 ISO has not changed in months, so it is unlikely that the file itself is corrupted. Most likely, the file was corrupted during download.
As a general rule, it is a good practice to do a checksum on the ISO after downloading but before flashing. I note this for others who may encounter a similar problem and read this thread.
