budgie control center question

If there is an article somewhere that addresses my question, then please forgive me; I did not see it.

The old Privacy Setting: location, camera, microphone maybe trash
The new Privacy Setting: location, thunderbolt, trash

Question:
where did camera and mic settings move to? how can I access them or check their restrictions status?

In this Privacy tab there used to be two more items on the left hand pane: Camera and Microphone.
As you can see, they are both missing and I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I went through all the Solus documentation I could find last night and this morning and found nothing about gutting these features in Budgie.
There is individual control of cam/mic in each browsers' settings. Is that what we are left with? And generally is that as effective as restricting cam/mic access on the operating system level? Please confirm or kick me in head where I've erred🙂

a touchy and confusing thread (Josh joined in) about the new budgie-control-center being forked with some new changes that didn't please everybody (do they ever?) but 'it is what it is' is my takeaway. i didn't get the who-did-what-and-for-what-reason parts at all; that went over my head.
No one ever mentioned ripping features out of System Settings, but maybe that is what I should imply?

brent You replied to the wrong person, it seems. haha But in any case, I never have to go to settings menu, as things work out of the box fine enough. 😄

Yup not sure what think about it either.
I better understand the issues I have had lately tho from reading that and following links
I am not a fan of ripping stuff out and not giving control over the things ppl need,kinda fine line to follow
because I know ppl like to push buttons..lol

In short, these only kind of work for sandboxed apps and its questionable whether they work here either. Ubuntu has disabled these. So we'll inherit this patch to equally prevent confusion what these options are for.

It is my understanding that anything present in GNOME Control Center but not Budgie Control Center only actually works in GNOME. That is, there's no point in having those options if they don't actually work or do anything in the Budgie (or just non-GNOME) environment.

EbonJaeger thanks for the explanation. I'm no longer sad about the missing camera/mic.
Would explain why Zoom always seemed to circumvent my settings.

What's really weird is these features never worked in Budgie in the first place.... but se la vie.
I read all Strobl's links/all links (I thought) in that Reddit thread but overlooked this BofB commit of it was in there.
Answers my question of 'why' (SOLVED).
