Plata noir and some applications that wont adjust to it as of lately.

Hi, after a recent update I noticed that Gnome Characters will now use fully dark theming instead of hybrid one (overall dark but with white background for the characters). The problem is that it won't adjust color of font characters (which are black by default) and dark images thus making them effectively non-visible against dark background. Is there any way I can let's say use different theming just for this program or some other solution? Of course I don't want to use Plata/Plata Lumine since it's eyebleach™ for me. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately Plata-Noir is no longer maintained. Try switching to a different theme, such as Materia Dark.

infinitymdm Oh, that's really sad to hear. Unfortunately it's not much better for materia, it's just one program anyway but still wondered if I could solve it in similar manner as with LibreCAD not adjusting for plata's blackness by using custom style sheet.

I don't know any other good theme with very dark/black Panel and Header bars out there.

Solarmass Yeah, that's why I like plata noir so much, I don't recall other theme that was so dark (at least GTK one), all of them are more or less grey instead of nearly solid black.

Solarmass Maybe you choose something. I prefer dark-red but under links you can choose other colors

niobleoum quogir-dark is doing me just fine (not eye bleach as you say) and I can distinguish between windows...my Characters/Letters&Symbols retains the black letters on dark background...but nowhere like Plata.

FWIW the upcoming version 42 boasts of "Proper dark theme support" in the changelog, so there's hope for a solution soon-ish (?)

pomon they look like a no-name themes to me. Why your links don't lead to github/gitlab pages?
I just don't install things from the random sites that I see for the first time.
