Solus 4.4 ISO? (I know, no ETAs)

I recently assembled a new desktop, but Solus 4.3 cannot be installed, because the current ISO is older than my hardware. Are my only options to either install another distro, or to wait? Is there a third option I'm not seeing? I would obviously prefer to install Solus, but I would also like to begin using my new computer.

I'm sorry to ask, because I know the Core Team is already working hard to meet new challenges, and that ETAs are not provided.

Depending on your actual hardware there might be a workaround, or no choice but to wait/switch. What are your specs?

N1X3L Ah, AMD GPU, okay. Well, off the top of my head I can only think of the (annoying) workaround of inserting an older GPU for the installation step, fully updating the system, and then switching in the new GPU again.

Staudey That's a great solution! I bought a used Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 while trying to repair my old rig, and now that won't be a total waste of money. Thank you!

riffer My new setup uses M.2 NVMe drives; my poor old Asus ROG Maximus IV Extreme mobo wouldn't be able to interface with those new drives. But I really appreciate you suggesting it though, because it might help someone else out in the future!

Maybe pulling the hard drive from the computer and using it on an old computer to install Solus and doing the update. Then transfer the drive back to the new computer.
