Using Solus Mate here.
Was always impressed about how fast it could boot. But since a few weeks ago, my installation is no longer fast in that regard. It goes quickly to the point where the desktop wallpaper and taskbar are drawn, but then it takes like 15 seconds before the desktop icons appear. Before that delay, like I said, the taskbar is there, but anything I try to start will also get postponed about 15 seconds.
I don't remember what triggered this problem. My main suspicion was that an update caused it, but it may also be related to iPad drivers which I installed around that time.
Any tips on how to diagnose this?
