Hello all,
I'm a long-time Solus user (Solus Budgie since v1.2) and I ran into a problem with my 'new' graphic card (AMD FirePro): changing the screen resolution in 'System Setting' leads to a black screen for approx. 30 seconds and after that reverts to the original setting.
That's why I wanted to try the 'amdgpu' driver instead of the installed by default 'radeon' module, but I can't find a way to change this.
All the hints mentioned in the 'Boot Management' part of Solus' help center refer to clr-boot-manager, but I'm on legacy boot (Grub) becaus my pc doesn't doesn't have EFI bios.
All Grub boot parameters I tried out appear to be ignored - no matter if applied directly on the Grub command line or in '/etc/default/grub' and an 'update-grub' command afterwards.
So my question is: does Solus allow to alter the initramfs by the (root-)user like other distros do?
I couldn't find any command to accomplish this (like 'mkinitcpio' or 'mkinitramfs', which are available in other distros).
Nice if someone can help.
Best regards and greetings from Austria,
Norbert
