Budgie Issue?

Is any one else experiencing an issue where budgie refuses to accept any left clicks from mouse? I checked on the bug tracker but I couldn't find anything relate to my issue.

For example, I can right click a page in firefox and the right click menu pops up but I can't left click anything in the menu or anything else on the page. Only keys are accepted. Opening a tab by clicking the plus doesn't work but ctrl+t does. Killing firefox by clicking the X doesn't work but alt+f4 does. This is true even on the budgie-panel, raven, and so on. That's why I say it's related to budgie.

This problem for me showed up around a month ago. At the time I had switched the screen blank setting to 1 minute and that was the only setting I messed with so I switched back to never. After that everything went back to normal. But now it's happening again.

As I was typing my issue on Solus, but then budgie stop accepting input again 🤣
On Windows rn

I don't know where to get logs that may help me figure out whats wrong. Please tell me where to look to debug this.

Possibly a daft question but does your mouse work normally on another system? The left click on your mouse may be borked.

That's all i can think of anyway. I use budgie myself (on a Ryzen 5 1500X, B350 Mobo and Vega 64 using the Mesa drivers) and no issues to report regarding the left click.

Neumie No. I use it on Windows for gaming all the time so this can't be the case.

Thinking about it, it may have to do with the driver for razer viper mini. I was using the g305 and gpro for a while and I don't remember it happening with those mice. Which explains why it would happen to linux and not windows. Who knows 🤔

Most likely. Scroll down toward the bottom of the Open Razer page and you might be able to install Solus-compatible software with appropriate driver(s). I don't know if you have the power to change the thread title, but "Razer Viper Mini Issue" might attract forum members that can help with Razer issues.

Won't make any difference if the driver solves the problem.

tomscharbach Just found out that openrazer is only a module that is only loaded when using 4.14.246-178.lts kernel. Thankfully the problem hasn't happen all day today but I don't think installing the driver had anything to do with that.
