Sebastian The panel at the top is part of a Quickshell implementation called DankMaterialShell. Unfortunately, Solus doesn't package Quickshell, so I had to build it manually. That took me some time as I'm not experienced with the process. Once that was built, I had to install matugen (again not currently package by Solus), and DankMaterialShell (which is done via git clone).
I did all this because I wasn't entirely happy with the look and capabilities of Waybar.
I'd be happy to share my Niri dotfiles once I've tidied them up, if you're still interested, but they do invoke a lot of the DankMaterialShell capability, so are not much use without that part.
