AlphaElwedritsch What I don't understand is that when I take a screenshot of the current screen, the image is never (or should be never) larger than 2MB.

every screenshot program has different defaults ootb. budgie-screenshot, for instance, takes a bigger size picture than the one I regularly use which is Screenshot (Gnome). I could never explain why since I don't mess with any of the guts.
there's an xfce screen tool, plasma always has their own, then there are screenshot programs in the software center people use. so solus users do not uniformly use the same screenshot tool, to answer your question. So I find someone getting a pic over 2MB to be normal. Background likely factors into it, too.

**would be a good benchmark test to see the default kb/mb sizes of the same screen (like your /home for instance) of all the screenshot programs available to solus users.

My desktop since the release of plasma 6, no change so far, Dolphin in dual panel mode which is really efficient, extra wallpaper with web browsers, a bit of monitoring on the taskbar, all with warm lava colors, with default theme and automatic color theme from wallpaper.

Horus Icon theme (Tweak of my Anubis Icon Theme). Golden and Transparent.

sangheeta Lava looks different on each workspace. Would be a cool live wallpaper.
