Hi guys,
basically I ordered used Lenovo Workstation with 128GB SSD and 500GB HDD 😁
Now I want to install Solus on it, but I wanna have /, swap and boot partitions on the SSD and the /home partition on the second drive(the HDD) 😅
After some time I will visit my parents and get my 2TB HDD from the previous PC. I wanna be able to swap the 500GB disk with the 2TB one, and also return the 500GB disk, but mounted on the other SATA 2 slot. The home partition now must be the 2TB drive and the other one(s) I have/will have installed must either extend the /home partition or if that's not possible or not a good idea, to be formatted(probably ext4 or FAT32, don't know which would be better suited) and used as additional storage for saving and editing image files and videos 😅
Also as I usually loose a day configuring new system, are there any good tricks to automate the migration. For example to extract one command with all installed and uninstalled programs and use it to install many more programs to the new system, as well as uninstall bloat like GNOME Help and many of the default apps that I've changed with others. The same applies for the system settings.
