When my Synology NAS needed to be repaired and updated to v.7 of their software, I sent it to a repairman near Chicago, and he did a great job. He fixed the motherboard, and updated the OS and the four disks. When I got it back, I was able to plug it in, connect to the network, and use it right away.
I admit to being nervous the whole time, because there were four 10TB disks involved, with about 18TB of family documents, photos, and a movie and music collection that went back decades. Not a byte was damaged throughout the process.
If you might want to contact him, I'll dig through my emails and let you know how to reach him. Let me know
