Wow, well this is just ridiculous (also... boy, it's been a great week for fixing stuff on my computer, eh?), but apparently steam can only use the "default" mic, which for some reason it thinks is.... my audio card? I opened up "configure audio devices" and it has the audio controller as an "inactive card" and it's set to "off" but, yet, Steam wants to use that as my "default" mic, so.. I don't know if there's a way to mark my mic as the "default" microphone, I'm not seeing any options, can someone help me out here?
How to Change "default" microphone?
Okay, nevermind (ish) there's a workaround in steam; They removed the settings location from big picture mode (used to be there after they removed from the normal steam view..) and now it's only available via Friends and Chat in the in-game tab.... stupid. So stupid. But whatever...
That being said, if there's a way to set default audio devices, I'd still like to know how >.>
Ed: I was wrong, that actually only is a work around for Steams direct voice chat, doesn't fix in game mic default sooo... yeah... still gonna need to set "default" mic for the game
CT42 and I quit smoking ..
you can only do something like that when you are ready. if you are not ready you can't force it. when I quit years ago I transitioned to vaping then vaped twice as much since you can vape anywhere....so I took my nicotine milligrams down to 0 til my body didn't miss it. That's how I wanted to end up on Cold Turkey's doorstep and I have no desire to go back to that life. Still do it in my dreams, though
