Locking Folders in Solus

the things is, I gotta save a pretty large homework folder on my laptop and When was i on windows..... I could lock a folder using a batch script which contained the passwords,......And I found it pretty safe tooo....
just like in the tutorial below:

I just need the exact or alternate feature on linux , I use solus btw,

FakharHaider I found that this can be done with gnome-encfs-manager which you can find it here: https://launchpad.net/gencfsm, but it is not available at the moment in Solus. It uses encfs which is abailable in Solus.

you could make password-protected .zip files or something too...

In my budgie autostart I have the application KeepassXC and I have my .txt password file both set to launch.
Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V and I'm done.
If you don't mind the single step of cut/paste, that could be an an option: launch school folder & and "password.txt" at the same time

No, and yes. Those are the simple answers. Someone may point out that with this or that DOS emulator, you can run some .bat files, subject to certain limitations. But not natively. And be aware that you can do a LOT more with Bash scripting than with a .bat file. There's a considerable learning curve, but it's actually a serious computer language.

can i create encrypted folders with bash

It is better and easier to encrypt a partition and to mount it.
There are software like veracrypt or zulucrypt in the repository to do this.
