Would you please add drivers for Brother MFC-J265W. I am new to Solus.

looks like they have alot of mfc-j series created but none in the 200 range like yours.
did you install the brother repo package to make sure nothing else might work?

Thanks for the reply. I have been using linux for over 20 years, an addicted distro-hopper. On .deb, .rpm and Arch there is no problem at all with printing. I think now I must leave my comfort zone and do a bit of studying of the way Solus works. I am very impressed with it so far but in my ignorance I don't know what you mean by "brother repo package". I will learn, thanks again.

trying to see if one close to your model number would work. a slim chance, but a real chance. but you should still request the package officially (imho).

Thanks Brent, printer now working with a 220 driver. There is a problem with A4 paper settings but this can be worked around; the same fault occurs in Arch Brother driver packages from the AUR. There has been a lot of online discussion about for years but no solution found.
Thanks again, I can now leave Solus as my primary desktop and get to work learning about it.

Man, congrats that old trick worked and you are functioning.
There's some mfc requests in the queue at T83 you might as well tell them what happened so others may see your workaround. Maybe they'll update the brothers again when they have time.
