Wired connection ask for password

From 2 updates ago I noticed that when I connect the laptop with the cable it ask me for network password (which it's not supposed to do on wired, and it didn't before). So I have to disconnect the ethernet cable and use the wifi.
I tried to rollback in history but I get an use with youtube-dl not being found, so I can't rollback either.

Does anybody else has encounter this issue?

maybe not related at all or a long shot...the only times this has happened to me were setting up a new WIN install...meaning I had to flip the ether box upside down and feed the login/pw info to the isp(?). Then the isp(? unsure) never asked for this info again.
long answer short: have you tried to flip your box over and give it what it's asking for?
might be a bandaid fix for whatever package (if true) caused this. also see if this is an active issue at devtracker (upper left of your screen)

brent Thank you for the quick reply. I did try everthing you said, but didn't fix it.

I now identify the issue, it was of some issue with the VPN (which I have it set it up with both wifi and ethernet but didn't ask for any password on wifi), I disable automatic connection to the VPN on ethernet and it solved the problem.

Edit: I don't know why it doesn't explain that the password that was asking was for the VPN.

that's why I had isp in question marks. Wasn't sure what was prompting you. VPN is a whole other wrinkle. Congrats on solving. I don't know the answer to your final edit question.
