You're not going to have a good experience with trying to copy or manage any files in a modern iOS-based device under Linux, unfortunately. While compatibility was slightly better (still awful) with older releases of iOS, our iOS support (which is basically just libimobiledevice, ifuse, etc.) is more-or-less non-functional on newer iOS releases.
Or at the very least, I haven't been able to get any of it to work on my iPhone 12 Mini running iOS 15.1.1, even with patching the hell out of several libimobiledevice related software. Just gave up and started syncing content via my Nextcloud.
