Thunderbird weird after update??

Hi there!
Yesterday (Nov. 10, 2021) I discovered that Thunderbird which I have been using for many years started acting really weird:

the SEND button has gone, you have to click your way through the menu
ATTACHMENTS now have to be added by clicking your way through the menu entries, too
when I open a new email window there are 2 entries missing from the menu (from left to right (in German as I'm using the German language interface): DATEI (file) - BEARBEITEN (?) - ANSICHT (view) - [nothing] - [nothing] - OPTIONEN (options) - EXTRAS - HILFE (help).
They are just not there, the black background behind the spot where they should be is a non-clickable black background.
Now, I'm sure points 1. and 2. must have to do with some sort of strange design update that was integrated into Thunderbird.
But point 3. could have something to do with the latest update of SOLUS BUDGIE, could it not?
I have checked all my installed packages (sudo eopkg check), they're all OK.
I have done sudo eopkg up -y - nothing to install there either.

Anyone able to help?

What version of the kernel and thunderbird?
Check if buttons will be visible under another theme.
Close Thunderbird killall thunderbird and run it in a terminal. Maybe some bugs will show up.
Paste the Thunderbird screen.

Solus Budgie - latest current kernel (updated yesterday, 12th November 2021)
Thunderbird - version 91.3.0

Off and on I'm using a Linux Mint 20.2 installation on another laptop (to cross-compare stuff for example), and there the Thunderbird glitches also appear except for the SEND button which is visible.
Thunderbird on Linux Mint 20.2 is running in version 78.14.0.

Open for new ideas here...

Are you saying that your address doesn't fill in on the from line? Have you checked to see whether your package is broken? Reinstalled?

SOLUSfiddler I just checked Thunderbird - New Message and it looks OK. I see the Send and Attach buttons. I also see all the menus.

I second what @kyrios suggested. Thunderbird profile corruption has been known to cause weird glitches. I'd do that before reinstalling, since a reinstall wouldn't fix any profile issues (if that's the problem).

Has anybody any news on this?
I cannot find anything on the matter searching for Thunderbird/Mozilla specific problems that might help with the glitches I'm experiencing.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I'm saying what I've tried to say in my original post:
The SEND button has disappeared,
two entries in the menu bar have disappeared (between ANSICHT and OPTIONEN).
My email address has just been made invisible as I assumed it shouldn't get displayed here.

Sorry ... I got to this thread late. And I assume that you haven't solved it yet.

I'm using Plasma and seem to have no problems. What DE are you on?

About all I could recommend at this point -- if you haven't already tried that -- is to completely remove Thunderbird and reinstall it. I would try eopkg rm --purge thunderbird, which should not affect anything in your home folder. Then reinstall it.

If that doesn't work for you, you may need to update your repository and install again with the --replace option.

And if it still doesn't work, I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. Good luck with it!

Did you try to switch theme in thunderbird to see if the problem remains ?

Since I am lazy, if I had such an issue and didn't find a solution after a few minutes, I'd create a new profile then copy data from my old profile into it.

There is probably a more up-to-date version of this somewhere
