Love my Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed..More than a gaming mouse..!

  • [deleted]

Got tired of buying Logitech RX250 over and over again so I got a Zowie FK1. While apparently a gaming mouse, it's pretty basic but it doesn't require any software.

On my workstation I used a Logitech g502 for years, gave that to my daughter when I got a G Pro on sale.

    I'm using Gamdias Demeter E2

I mostly use Razer Viper Mini , I have second mouse HyperX pulsefire Pro witch I don't use that much since there is no Ngenuity software fork for linux unfortunately. Maybe it will happen someday 🤞

razer basilisk ultimate. set it up once in windows and got rid of the software. works well
i got tired of logitech mice breaking after a couple of months (backwards scroll bug, double click bug)
shame, logitech used to make decent stuff until a few years ago

downhill That link showed the real human physical cost of computing and the extended section on logi mouses was eye-opening. Even he had to concede that switching to the Dvorak was a bandaid in the long run. What I'm shocked that guy DID NOT talk about was the eyes. Since Covid/working from home my eyes are computer funky. I'm seriously considering going back to outdoor work. My wife brought some cheapy blue-light computer glasses for us that seemed to make no difference. May bring that up on another thread. I took too much bandwidth for this reply🙂

[deleted] as one who buys the same logi over and over, how do you like the zowie? looks like a normal mouse to me (I like normal mices) with a wonderfully high palm arch.

brent Perhaps the individual hasn't experienced eye issues. I have read recently that blue light is one cause, or one suspected cause, of macular degeneration. I read about that in a book about DMSO (a sulphur compound derived from the processing of wood).

...cheapy blue-light computer glasses...that seemed to make no difference. Well, maybe you got what you paid for. I have read that you can get blue light filtering in prescription glasses.

You didn't take up too much bandwidth. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

brent I needed a non-fancy durable and symmetric mouse and to me it does the job. The DPI levels are 400/800/1600/3200 if that matters to you.

tresjam Yep, just save the settings to the internal mouse memory and you are good to go. But a little bit annoying that you have to use Windows for that.
