No More Color Alerts for Task bar Alert Bell; permanently grey

What gives? This has gone on the last 2-3 updates. Annoying but far from important.
I changed nothing. Budgie settings normal--

the new system bell icon I call 'permanently grey'. It;s not cleared and if you mouse it there are alerts.

and the unchanged alert setting:

Was it the Zukitre? Or the Korla? It was green.

What does it mean when something with a long-time established color...suddenly disappears?

brent The problem is with Zukitre theme. The color of notification icon comes from the gtk theme.

algent paint me embarrassed if I installed zukitre (based on your endorsement) and it never had an alert color to begin with and I did not make the correlation...--you are saying it never did, right?
...while I did like it...

2 cents for other mix and matchers: gtk-based Matcha and Qogir are also pretty bitchin' themes. (As for icons I cannot find anything better than korla.)

brent Hey @brent i don't remember endorsing this theme. zuki-themes is not the best option these days.
Three GTK themes that I maintain Qogir, Matcha and Mojave are working fine with Budgie and latest Gnome.

algent the way things are going this year maybe you said 'stay away from zuki' and I read it 'get zuki, it's hot.' I'm serious. Extrapolation happens🙂
BTW Qogir and Matcha are awesome and they have both been in rotation today. Leaning: matcha-dark-purile but Q-Dark is that perfect dark.
