So I'm getting weird permission errors and I have no idea what to do about it. I'm experiencing similar issues to this user, but I can't launch a browser or anything to post results in the forums.....I don't have permission. Generally the system is very slow overall, everything takes a long time to run and error messages everywhere about config files. No audio devices show available, just weird problems all over the place. Used this laptop all weekend with no issues, wasn't until this morning everything started.
When trying to uninstall a package from terminal using sudo eopkg rm tlp
I'm told you have to be root....run sudo su
and then run eopkg rm tlp
and again, same error Program Terminated You have to be root for this operation
. When I launch konsole or dolphin I see an error message 'Configuration file "/home/bruce/.config/dolphinrc" not writable. Please contact your system administrator.' if I aknowledge the message, it will launch, but it seems like everything is locked up for a bit.
