Budgie: can't add SafeEyes to autostart

Hi!

I've started to use the Safe Eyes software to protect my eyes (or to try to do it).
Anyway, I've always to remember to start the software because I can't add it to the list of Autostart Apps inside the Budgie Desktop Settings. Other applications get add to the list, but this one is totally ignored.

Is there a way to solve this problem and autostart it?

LukMas Autostart files should be at .config/autostart open that folder and see if there is a symbolic link of safeeyes and delete it. Then try again to add safeeyes to autostart from Budgie Desktop Settings.

Look like when safeeyes is launcher for first time, it creates automatically an autostart file, but this is a broken symbolic link that points to safeeyes.desktop ⇒ /usr/lib64/python3.9/site-packages/safeeyes/platform/safeeyes.desktop and in Solus safeeyes.desktop is in another location /usr/share/applications/safeeyes.desktop. A patch is needed to fix this.

After posting the question I've tried to dig a bit into the problem and I've found the same: the link is broken, hence it's not working. I was going to write this, but your answer was already there.

Now I've created a link to the correct path but I've to finish something before restarting the notebook. I suppose it works, anyway. The application is also shown into the list of the Autostart Apps.

LukMas Mine is working OOTB but have not tried to autostart it. Am very happy you brought this health-conscious (eyeballs) app to my attention, am playing around in it now. Thank you.

brent It works with my custom link.
As you said, the path is incorrect: with the correct one (that points to /usr/share/applications/safeeyes.desktop) it works.
