unable to boot with iso kde.

hello i'm impossible to boot on plasma. After the boot boot manager nothing appends i tried to remove quiet splash I tried to pass by removing budgie but at boot it does not start. I have a ryzen 3 3300x nvidia gtk 1660super oc, on budgie its good.

You removed quiet and spash, it should show some errors on screen too, is there any?

This may be related to GPU driver, on live session, solus uses neveau driver(open source), only after installing you can change to nvidia proprietay driver.
You said budgie iso boots normally and plasma iso don't, right?

i'm using budgie on my daily driver, yes it's work.

Can't boot no error message just a black screen after the boot manager on live usb. .
edit: when i have budgie and install manually kde it's work. when i delete budgie i've got a black screen after reboot? I need to start a service for sddm ?

Antoine I would not recommend you to install plasma alongside other DE, but you did it already...

Follow pomon guide and see if it works. Keep in mind you will need to activate some KDE services manually and install plasma-desktop-branding if you didn't.

If you also removed lightdm then you need to run SDDM

sudo systemctl enable sddm
sudo systemctl start sddm

However, if you left lightdm off then disable the service sudo systemctl disable lightdm

Antoine Budgie will not change to QT, It will use EFL for it's ecosystem, leaving GTK+ behind... maybe next iso release you'll be able to install KDE Plasma.
This may be a problem with noveau and KDE, and your card will need nvidia proprietary driver to work...

If you have hardware experience, and still want to install KDE Plasma, and you are feeling confident enough, you could remove your nvidia card, install plasma with the ryzen onboard gpu, update the system, and re-insert the nvidia card again.
It's not easy if you have no experience with hardware, you could burn or break something really expensive, so don't do that.

yep, budgie will use EFL and not use GTK, the decision have not changed AFAIK
