Shotcut does not add video to the timeline

Axios right back where we all started? I hate that. I think you proved it was thematic at the very least. Plus libraries and that .so file. Without doubt this package is missing something no one on the using end can give it, yet.

I am on gnome machine (Dell I5 desktop 24inch dell monitor 4gig ram Intel graphics) shotcut repo and flatpak did have problems but got flatpak working on mine by setting shotcut theme to fusion light and changing the other two settings to mojave-light and papirus-dark. No luck with repo shotcut missing timeline icons. (Seems be working ok like this) Weird stuff

Seems to have straightened itself out for some reason can change anything now and works (flatpak)
Hope this helps someone out all the time I have to devote to it right now.

Axios I'd be shocked if both DEs were stripped of all gnome elements. even screenshot or system monitor or brasero or evince or something like that. but don't know for sure.

Appears to prob have been this issue qt5-quickcontrols was installed but it needs qt5-quickcontrols2 (is in repo) from listing the dependencies not sure if it needs qt5-graphicaleffects. I got it working by installing oxygen icon theme which installed qt5-quickcontrols2 and other stuff but this was listed by shotcut
Maybe need package update? round and about way but was half asleep and still learning..haha
(Note to self: I get 50bucks an hour..lol...Rofl)

brent Ya you about watch a movie when i start posting but hey the end result counts! It still has issues when you select system theme from shotcut but fusion light and dark work fine I just think its these dark themes like I have lots of programs complain about it I think. If I was running a Light theme prob no problem but these old eyes cant take it ..lol Now I got update my linux commands documents that I keep handy. Oh hey thanks for the above pic the command came from one your posts way back.. (kind of side note sure cleaned my screens up clearer and cleaner,Crisper dunno why this was pretty fresh install of gnome nothing tinkered with)

I knew you were on to something with themes, but light and dark is a whole new wrinkle maybe when dealing with some of these theme packages in this particular app, maybe more? I hope the Shotcut devs read this thread, issue still seems way upstream. Seems. Glad to see any victory with mysteries like this. You did the heavy lifting.
