Discord not showing in Budgie menu.

Hello,

I just installed Discord from the Software Center on Solus 4.3 w/ a Budgie desktop. The app does not show in my menu but I can launch it if I run /usr/bin/discord from the terminal. I Googled it and read that the menu is looking in /usr/share/applications and there is a discord.desktop file in there; The thread that I saw was for Ubuntu so it may not be apples to apples but I was hoping to ask if anyone here had a suggestion as to how I can get it in my menu. Thank you. - Mike

P.S - I just noticed that if I close my terminal, it closes the Discord session; One more reason that I hope this can be resolved.

SOLVED:

I just read that all I had to do was copy the discord.desktop file to ~/.local/share/applications/ and now it shows up under the Internet sub menu; I hope this helps the next person that runs into this. I'll poke around to see if I can mark this as Resolved but I don't yet know if that happens here or if an admin has to do so. Thanks again. -Mike

michaeln2021 I think the simplest solution was to log out and then log in.

algent Interesting. I removed it from my local app's folder, logged out, and you were right, it's still in the menu. It's not showing in my local app's directory but I guess it doesn't have to. I never had to do this before for anything from the Software Center but this is good to know. Thank you. -Mike
