craigtoyoracer I would like to change the Gnome Mahjongg icon launched in icon task list, but cannot find it. π I have changed the icons in /user/share/icons , but did not work. π€ͺ
algent craigtoyoracer I have changed the icons in /user/share/icons , but did not work. If you done this then you have a broken package there. Now you have to reinstall that package to fix it. You should not change system files. The best way to use custom icons for apps is by modifying their .desktop files. A good application for this is menulibre which makes a new .desktop file and automatically save it in ~/.local/share/applications/.
nolan I don't think changing just an icon is a good idea (some punctual things do though) but for that I guess changing the icon theme is a better option?
craigtoyoracer [unknown] thank you but gtk-update-icon did not work yes typo /usr and no broken pkgs π algent thank you and using menu-editor allowed to change icon from browse-files π π so now I have a marble tile icon instead of a yellow one.ποΈ Solved.
craigtoyoracer brent Thanks , the early tiles were made from bone. Not my style. so marble was the choice. π
