.desktop related file of Terminal

Hello guys, a new adventurer here of Solus and Linux in general, this is my first distribution and I've been doing some digging and googling on how to change Solus to my liking. My latest attempt was to change how the menu appears to me and I can't seem to find where the .desktop entry related file of the terminal is so I could change how it behaves to keywords. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to solus, I think you can start with menulibre, with it you can customize those menu entries from a graphic interface, if I understood what you are trying to do.

Yes, Menulibre.
You can change the icon there and the app's name.

And regarding of .desktop files, they are in ~./local/share/applications (user) and /usr/share/applications (system wide). I'd use ~./local/share/applications because is in your home and don't require root permissions to modify but menulibre is good enough for what you are trying to do.

Well, thank you for all your kind responses. While I'm already aware that menulibre is an application that does graphically what I intend to do, I'm more inclined to learn how I can achieve that without this support. I could find those two directories that @nolan pointed out with the command find but the problem is only that I can't seem to find the desktop entry of terminal in specific.

kyouch Which terminal, what DE are you using?

kyouch Given that you've not specified which DE you're using, I don't know if you'll have the same files. But using Budgie, I found that the org.gnome.Terminal.desktop in /usr/share/applications is the .desktop file for the terminal. I would assume that it's the same for the Gnome edition, since both editions use gnome-terminal. I can't speak for the Mate or Plasma edition though.

My goodness. I'm using Budgie a that's exactly it @nathanpainchaud. Thank you very much. I'm feeling kind of sad and like an idiot that I didn't find it before simply because it uses a capital "T" and when I used grep searching for "terminal" I didn't account for that. How do I add the tag of Solved here?
