low percentage is not that bad at all, linux for personal computers is a low percentage because linux is not a windows, chromeos nor a mac substitute, linux is a kernel that some created OS's of it, and these decentralized OS's are never going to enter competition, they(corporate) sell hardware with their system or it comes as a default for newer users and computers, it is aimed for end-user, don't need you to use a terminal/cmd for anything, they pay big investment in worldwide ads, deals, and blablabla... it is a business model.
End-users don't care/know what they are using, they only want to change wallpaper and install "that app", if the said app does not work they rage and say it is a bad system.
Also, let's say we linux users are not all good friends, some are aggressive with newbs, some distro communities are purists, and so on... human after all.
