I do not use Solus on a laptop, hence cannot help you much. In the help center, this page exists which shows a list of all laptops that are found to be working correctly with Solus. and your Legion 5 isnt in the list( yet).
Also what exactly do you mean by 'everything killed'? is it installed applications that are killed or something else?
adding to this: since you mentioned that you have an nvidia gpu,have you verified that your drivers are latest? I never have such problems on my intel uhd 630.
