I installed Kali Linux few days ago after shrinking the partition used by Solus. After the installation was done, I didn't find Solus in the boot menu used by Kali Linux. First thing I did was try the Boot Rescue guide from the Help Center section, nothing worked, I looked around some posts on this forum and I found that Solus is similar to Clear Linux as they both use clr-boot-manager, so I followed their guide which restored the boot menu of Solus and added a entry to the Grub from which I could run Kali Linux, but the problem is that when I launch Solus current I get a black screen and nothing works including tty, I tried to launch Solus lts and still the same except there was a blinking underscore in this one.
I'm losing hope at this point, I prefer restoring my system because I don't want to set up everything again. The problem is that even if I had to do a fresh install I would need my external drive to backup my data which I don't have it on me these days.
I would be very thankful if there is a solution to this issue... but in case I have to reinstall Solus, can I install it on top of the old installation so that I don't have to back up my data on an external drive ?
