@Girtablulu this question is specifically for you.
My partner has recently bought several new harddrives and a new computer and I've helped him with several installations of Solus KDE over the past few months as a result. And I have had to figure out how to fix the numlock issue on Plasma.. every.. single.. time..
It is annoying. It is tedious. Is there anyway you can fix this? PLEASE?
The solution is simple.
/etc/sddm.conf
[General]
Numlock=on
I have literally tried every way possible that could be found on this forum (and others) including the numlockx
way, the BIOS way, the KDE settings way.. and the only consistent solution that works is the one I mentioned above.
I've tried this on multiple distros including Manjaro, MX, and Neon. On those there were varying degrees of success using other solutions (Bios, KDE Settings, numlockx) but the change to the sddm.conf
config file has always worked there as well.
My partner loves KDE. I hate it. And most of my hate for it is because of this.
Could you tweak this small setting?
PLEASE? 😃
