Solus 4.3 Released
Congrats to the Solus developers for another outstanding release . I just upgraded to 4.3 on my Thinkpad E585 laptop . Everything works great except of course the known Bluetooth bug where you have to suspend and resume in order to have bluetooth start to work . Hope this gets fixed soon. BTW I really like the new default wallpaper . I am using the Budgie DE edition .
I just made the plunge and wiped my HP Envy desktop today (using gparted to blow away everything and do a clean GPT partition table) and then I booted up from my new Solus 4.3 flash drive and installed it. It would be an understatement to say I'm very impressed with it. Budgie and Cinnamon are now my two favorite DEs.
I don't like messing around with setting up the working environment, but I want it to be pleasant to me. Therefore, I love Budgie. Everything I need is here. No need to install a bunch of addons.
I like the operating system to be fast and not overloaded, simple and at the same time efficient. That's why I love Solus. Thanks for another great release.
OK, I am going to post this even though I KNOW its a stupid question and already know the answer (since Solus is a "rolling release" model).
If you do a fresh install of v4.3...will you have the exact same system as if you have v4.2 with all updates?

Yes. I asked that same question a long time ago, and that's the answer I got.
In fact, a few times when I was creating a virtual machine, and a Solus 4.2 .ISO file was handy, I'd start with that. After the installation, a simple update would make it a current 4.3 installation.
No F2FS support yet?
what do you mean ? f2fs is there for a loooonnng time
kyrios To install on a f2fs partition
I love this Distro it's my fav but I cannot seem to get all the apps in Dark Mode even if it's set in the settings? Any help? (I.E. Apps like Calendar and Calculator are white)

Try with dconf editor (available in the software center),
go to: /org/gnome/desktop/interface/color-sheme
and choose 'prefer dark' and apply
Maybe log out/in or reboot needed after, I don't remember.
physicist164 I really like it too

I have decided to stick with the Mate distro. I really like the functionality and it's fast and pretty.
I am using a Dell Inspiron 15-5567 with 8 GB memory, 230 GB ssd and CPU at 2.5 Ghz.
I would like to suggest that there be a list of usable commands for eofkg.
If there is a list please point me to it.
Kudos to the Solus developers.

Happy 2023. This thing is still a rock. I've put it on many a noobz machine. Not one single issue.
JoshStrobl And... when can we expect the release of the 4.4 Budgie-Nemo version? Or if you have a pre-release link...? It would be my pleasure to test it... Thank you.
