Is my old graphics card compatible with solus ?

hello i want to install solus , i've tried the live iso and i liked very much but with the nouveau drivers experimented screen tearing playing videos , can i install nvidia drivers or im out of luck? thanks.

Unfortunately Solus supports at minimum v.390 series.

I would like to mention that the 340 branch had been officially EOL for almost 2 years now by NVIDIA. Nouveau is your only option for that card (which is 12 years old, by the way).

thanks for the replies . it's a pity that my gpu broke and I have to use this replacement , but the price of gpu's is very high so there's nothing I can do :c

As a person of modest means, I have no problem using local avenues (craigslist) or ebay or word-of-mouth or similar to buy something used and cheap that's compatible. Good luck to you--this distro is worth it.

Otakuzu Yea I hear you there. Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to be insensitive to the current GPU shortages, price hikes, scalpers, etc. making it an absolute PITA to upgrade system components. I am in the same boat as everyone else. The simple reality is NVIDIA doesn't support the GPU anymore, there really isn't we can do about that nor their poor engagement with the open source / Linux community (aside from collectively voting with our wallets and getting AMD GPUs instead).

Otakuzu At least quadro cards are not affected by the crazy price increase, but the downside is that they are not good for games.
